On his dark days… in truth, none but the king’s closest know what transpires during these passages of time, as King Tristen is never seen in person. But his edicts become capricious and terrible. His people suffer, is dealing go sour as he fails to meet obligations or has ambassadors imprisoned or worse.
Where Does He Rule?

His standing as a middleman between enemies- Barovia has gone to war with both Nova Vassa and Darkon within living memory- puts him in a precarious position.
How Does He Influence The World?
King Tristen’s mercurial moods have made him something of a celebrity in the larger world. He is dashing, handsome and gregarious, every bit a king when his mood is favorable, yet rumors paint him as a monstrous tyrant when his aspect grows dark. A favorable relationship would mean having gotten- and remained- on his good side in some fashion, while the reasons behind a conflicted or negative relationship may never be known to the parties involved.
